This is one of the few minor basilicas in the United States and it was built during the Great Depression. Dedicated to Saint Therese de Lisieux (known as the "Little Flower of Jesus”), the basilica preserves a large painting created by the saint’s sister, a most treasured work in a building that is a work of art in itself.
