Trail head is located at T22N, R9E, Section 22. This trail head provides access to the Lakeshore Trail at Little Grass Valley Reservoir, the Bald Mountain Trail, and the Pacific Crest Trail. The trail head is adjacent to the Little Grass Valley Horse Camp (under construction). The trail leaves the trail head and climbs 1.4 miles where it forks off. The left fork leads .9 mile to the top of Bald Mountain, providing a spectacular views of Little Grass Valley Reservoir. The right fork leads 1.3 miles to tie into the Pacific Crest Trail near Chimney Rock. Elevation - 5100 feet.
