Take Alpine-Highland exit from I-15 and drive east up UT-92 until you're in American Fork Canyon. Pay the $3 fee and head six miles further. Go right at the North Fork junction and drive to Alpine Loop's summit. If you want to do the trail as an out-and-back, go three miles downward into Provo Canyon's North Fork.
